Safety and protection of the maritime domain

If the Republic of Croatia wishes to protect its national interests at the maritime domain and disenable a permanent exclusion of the public use of the maritime domain, it must define the strategic goals and design a complete strategy for the management and protection of the seacoast, internal waters and territorial waters. In the document "Croatia in the 21st. Century", the Republic of Croatia has defined its strategic goals for the maritime domain, among which is the following:

Republic of Croatia should provide the institutional and legal framework, which will provide the permanent and adequate protection of the maritime domain, conserve the biodiversity of coastal ecosystems, prevent pollution, illegal construction and illegal use of the maritime domain.
